"Taste of the City"
The "Taste of the City" food festival took place at Ganei Yehoshua, Hayarkon Park, over four days in June, 2011.
The largest culinary event of its kind in Israel, the Taste of the City food festival hosted dozens of food stalls sponsored by the best restaurants in Israel. Chef Chaim Cohen and "Dan Gourmet" took on the Variety Israel stall and prepared a tasty dish of spicy beef patties in tomato sauce with tahini, pickles and green salad – and all this goodness was wrapped in a freshly-baked Pita.
Variety's chairman, Advocate Uri Slonim, Variety's executive director, Riki Ariel, celebrities like Shiraz Tal, Tal Man, Noam Tour, the beauty queens, Ala Ran, Kim Edri, Bar Marom and Kim Akafi, Lihi Greener, Lioz, Jacky Menachim and Nofar Mor, from "the Big Brother House", Arik Elfer, Natali Kabasa, Ohad and Giora from "Survival", Smadi Bomba, Aviva and Inna from "Master Chef", and businessmen such as Ravi Bar Niv, Nadir Peer and Eran Tomer – all rose to the challenge and came to man the sales point at the stall and entertain the large audience with their presence. The proceeds from this event were donated to our dear children.
We would like to thank Chaim Cohen and "Dan Gourmet" and the wonderful team for the many hours they invested in making this event a huge success and a wonderful experience.

A fashion show for the 2011 summer collection by top designers Gideon Oberson and Karen Oberson took place In the course of May, in the square outside the "Peres House for Peace" in Jaffa, in collaboration with Variety Israel.
Opera singers also participated in the event, and the models walked down the elevated catwalk wearing a varied collection in many colors and designs.
Elad Zafani, a Variety child until adolescence, and subsequently one of the stars in the "Big Brother" show, was also present at the event. Once more, we would like to express our deepest thanks to the sponsors: the American Express Credit Card company and the "Peres Center for Peace" for hosting the event.
The proceeds from ticket sales were fully dedicated to our dear Variety children.
A gala evening with the best of for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater was held in October 2010, at the Tel-Aviv Performing Arts Center. The proceeds from all ticket sales were donated dedicated to Variety Israel, with tickets selling out within a few days!
The production was staged by Tzemach-Ofer Productions Ltd., and we are deeply grateful to them for the wonderful evening.
Variety Events in the North
More than 800 people arrived, cheered, and were moved by Variety's first event in the north, which took place in the settlement of Nofit on 16.9.2011.
The Raanana Symphonette orchestra made a wonderful impression with a beautiful concert, the outstanding singer Shlomit Aharon moved everyone with her great voice as the " Hakol Over Habibi " singing group gave a stirring performance of well known and favorites.
The performance also included moving video clips that told the story of Variety. It was a magical, moving, cultured and quality evening.

The Chorus Line
A gala performance of the successful Broadway musical, "the Chorus Line" was staged on 24/10/11 at the Tel-Aviv Stage Arts Home. The chairman of the board, Advocate Uri Slonim, the president, Udi Angel, and executive director Riki Ariel invited members of Variety's management and donors to join them in watching the musical. Part of the income was donated to the children of Variety Israel. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the generous donations.
The launching event of the third season of "portrait" was held on November 2011, at “Vile” house in Kfar Shmaryahu. During the event, portraits of Israelis celebs, were shown and were offered for sale. All revenues will be dedicated to the children of "Variety" Israel.
